    Provides appearance enhancement services for residents living at The Tunkhannock Campus.  The pay is a straight hourly rate (no commission) based on experience.  
    Must enjoy working with elderly clients.
    Hours: 15 hours per week




    Analyzes hair to ascertain condition of hair.Shampoos hair and scalp with water, liquid soap, dry powder, or egg, and rinses hair with vinegar, water, lemon, or prepared rinses.Massages scalp and gives other hair and scalp-conditioning treatments for hygienic or remedial purposes.Styles hair by blowing, cutting, trimming, and tapering.Suggests coiffure according to physical features of patron and current styles, or determines coiffure from instructions of patron.Applies water or waving solutions to hair and winds hair around rollers, or pin curls and finger waves hair.Sets hair by blow-dry or natural set.Performs other appearance enhancement services such as applying solutions that straighten hair or retain curls or waves in hair, and waving or curling hair.Provides occasional transport to and from resident’s room.


    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents.
    Must possess a valid Pa Beautician's license.

    Previous experience working with elderly clients preferred.
