The Activities Aide helps plan, organize, direct, and implement the therapeutic/social/leisure activities programs to meet the social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the residents in order to maintain quality of life in a long term care community.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, climb, or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
